About me

With over a decade in design, I’ve re-imagined, improved and enabled innovative and truly connected experiences for businesses and their customers across Europe and Australia (see my work).

I have a broad range of skills and experience within human-centred design along with an excellent understanding of business strategy and technology. I spent almost ten years at Publicis Sapient, most recently as Senior Manager Experience Strategy and led a multidisciplinary team across product/service design and experience strategy. Currently, I’m working as a freelance consultant.

Continuous learning and change keeps me motivated – I highly value collaboration, design craft and constant improvement in a fast-paced and rapidly changing landscape.

Apart from design, I’m passionate about food as well as cooking. I also love spending time travelling with my wife and our Dachshund, Whiskey.

Senior Manager Experience Strategy

Publicis Sapient, a member of the Publicis Groupe, is a digital business transformation partner of choice, with nearly three decades utilizing the disruptive power of technology and ingenuity to help digitally enable clients’ business in their pursuit of next.

As a Senior Manager at Publicis Sapient, I partnered with both our internal client partners as well as senior client stakeholders. I proactively worked with stakeholders to frame the business problem and think like the client’s customers to help define recommendations, initiatives and design solutions with a team of Experience Designers, Strategists and Leads. This role also allowed me to teach clients to apply design thinking methodologies to transform their business and building design capabilities.

Manager Experience Design / Experience Lead

As an Experience Lead, I led the Experience Design team and practice for SapientRazorfish (now Publicis Sapient) in Melbourne. My role involved everything from initial conversations and project planning through to executing and overseeing work as well as building and coaching the Experience Design team – collaborating closely with strategy and engineering and a variety of client stakeholders.

Clients: Aesop, Reece, Sunsuper.

Senior Experience Designer

As a Senior Experience Designer at SapientNitro (now Publicis Sapient), I worked across a range of accounts in a variety of locations all over Europe. From big platform relaunches to native mobile apps. In my role as a Senior Experience Designer, I was involved with setting the design direction through detailed UX design along with creating prototypes and annotations for development.

Clients: HUGO BOSS, Nivea, Ray-Ban, OPSM, Audi.

  • Defining personas, user journeys and use cases
  • Created whole platform and mobile app experiences (including sitemaps, user flows, annotated wireframes and interactive prototypes)
  • Facilitate User research and Usability testing activities
  • Design, drive and facilitate creative/ideation workshops
  • Presented concepts to clients and internal stakeholders

Clanmo, Cologne (Germany)
October 2010 – July 2011

Experience Designer

Clanmo was an interactive agency specialised in mobile solutions and acquired by SapientNitro in 2011. My role as Experience Designer was to create user-centred concepts for mobile apps- and websites, which included: Research and analysing activities, detailed interaction concepts, user flows, sitemaps and wireframes, navigation models, collaboration with other designers and engineering, preparing presentations for the leadership team.

Clients: Lufthansa, Europcar, Bonprix (German fashion retailer).

Early 2009 – September 2010

Start-up Co-founder, Web Designer

During my studies at University, I created and started several successful digital projects as well as co-founding a fintech Startup in Germany. After a successful seed investment, a small team was formed, and a web platform was built. Success was short-lived and the project eventually ended.
